'An Unordinary Summer's Day' represented a major change in both my filmmaking process and overall body of work. For one thing, it was my first major short film project which saw me work with a wonderful crew consisting of a terrific actor and makeup artist/actress. On my last two short films, I would rely on myself and myself alone to accomplish the productions, but it was a wonderful breath of fresh air working with two of some of the finest professionals I have ever known to bring this project to life. Hats off to you, Dante and Carly!

Moreover, the film is an outright adaptation of a poem that I wrote of the same name, presenting an opportunity for me to translate the written word to cinema without losing meaning. Relying purely on visual storytelling and the dark side of film grammar, the film may be the most experimental project I will ever work on from a purely visual perspective.
